The Renaissance Rooftop Bar & Lounge is set to open its doors on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, bringing Rocky Mount its first truly elevated nightlife destination. Three floors. Art-Deco design. Craft cocktails. Live jazz every weekend. And views of the city skyline from a rooftop terrace unlike anything in the region.

What to Expect

The Renaissance isn't just a bar — it's a complete sensory experience, designed from the ground up to feel like stepping into a 1920s speakeasy that somehow exists above a modern North Carolina skyline.

The Speakeasy Lounge

On the ground floor, guests will discover a dimly-lit speakeasy-inspired lounge. Dark wood, leather banquettes, low ceilings, and a cocktail programme rooted in prohibition-era classics — reimagined with modern technique and local ingredients.

The Main Bar

The centrepiece of The Renaissance is a full-service Art-Deco bar on the second floor. Expect an extensive list of handcrafted cocktails, curated champagne and sparkling wine, premium spirits from around the world, and a food menu built for sharing — small plates, raw bar, and seasonal specials.

The Rooftop Terrace

The jewel in the crown. An open-air rooftop terrace with panoramic views across Rocky Mount — lounge seating, string lights, a full bar service, and the kind of atmosphere that makes every night feel like a special occasion.

Opening Timeline

The Renaissance is following a phased opening schedule designed to ensure every guest gets the experience they deserve from day one:

• Spring 2026: Soft launch for owners, investors, and family — an intimate first pour for the people who helped build the dream.
• Tuesday, August 4, 2026: Grand opening to the public. Three floors fully operational, full cocktail menu, live jazz programme launching.
• Ongoing: Weekly Sunset Sessions and live jazz events inspired by the Harlem Renaissance — every Thursday through Saturday.
